Featured Project: The two illustrations below were created for Hazleton Integration Project’s 10th Anniversary commemorative program book. The book is a 72-page retrospective on a local — and also nationally renowned — community center in my hometown.
This analog collage portrait of #JoeMaddon, HIP’s Co-Founder and Honorary Chairman of the Hazleton Integration Project (and MLB Manager), was constructed in the same manner as my news abstract collage, but instead using news items curated from his career #Maddonisms #TryNotToSuck Fun fact: Even though I knew the size would only be about 8” in the book, the size of the physical illustration is 16” x 16”; more often than not I prefer working large format to help capture details.
This analog collage spread was carefully curated from literally hundreds of news items published about HIP over the last decade.
